Amy Winehouse?s Family: "Bereft By the Loss"

Making their first comments since the tragic revelation of their daughter's passing, the family of Amy Winehouse released a statement on Sunday (July 24) addressing their loss. The Winehouse's, which include Amy's mother Janis, her father Mitch and her brother Alex, said in their press release, "Our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives." The Winehouse family statement continued, "We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time." As previously reported by GossipCenter, the "Rehab" singer was found at her London home on Saturday (July 23) - with reports telling that she had "signs of life" at the time but passed away before medical personnel were able to transport her to the hospital. While early speculation points to the unfortunate case of an overdose, the cause of death is still pending an autopsy scheduled to take place tomorrow, July 25th
