Bucky reports on tonight's Amazing Race, possibly from his sickbed:
OK, tonight’s recap will be shorter than usual, because I’ve got a major case of flu, pneumonia or possibly one of several paramyxoviridae diseases that I’m not sure what they are, but I saw the word on Dr. Abby’s Facebook page and it sounds just like I feel. The upshot is that Mrs. Bucky is not allowing me to touch the television clicker. So I’m limited to reporting only what I can make notes about, in between coughs and sneezes and without going back and forth on a recording.
I’ll try to do better next week.
The teams find they must travel from Australia to Tokyo. There are two flights: one arrives at 6:00 a.m., but has a connection in Hong Kong; another arrives at 6:15 a.m. and is non-stop. The editors spend nearly a quarter of the show on discussions among the teams about which is the better flight. In the end, half of the teams (Gary & Mallory, the Globetrotters, the Cowboys, Kisha & Jen and Ron & Christina) take the non-stop, giving up the 15 minute scheduled advantage. The others (Zev & Justin, Mike & Mel, the Goths, the Cheerleaders and Margie & Luke) risk not making the connection to gain a 15 minute advantage.
