Here's a brief recap mixed in with a couple rants from last night's show: They need to do better editing! If you are going to keep saying that the L.A. auditions are the best in the history of the show, please give us some proof! I know the show is notorious for hiding a lot of the finalists until the reveal, but a couple more teasers wouldn't be that bad.
Phew! Now that I got that out of the way, I'll move onto the auditions. I thought that Jordan Casanova danced more like a stripper than anything else. (The judges called it sexy; I called it sleazy.) I liked Arielle Coker--the ultra athletic dancer who has tried out before. The two pop locking women (Hero McRae and Patty Anne Miller) were pretty awesome! And the sisters (Sasha and Natalia Mallory) were a complete surprise. I was totally expecting another Ringo Starr's daughter fiasco. Season 5 winner Jeanine Mason's younger sister, Alexis, also auditioned and was sent on to Vegas. I thought her transitions needed some work, but she's got potential.
Oh yeah, what was up with the show's producers making a point that none of the dancers had any Broadway dance training? I can't remember the last time a Broadway dancer won the competition. Can you? It was just another opportunity to give Tyce "Over-the-top" Diorio some more screen time.
Who stood out for you?
Suri Cruise Jennifer Lawrence Bethanie Mattek Sands Annette Bening
